Valencia Basket resumes the competition on the court of Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse

Valencia Basket men's team returns to competition eleven days after their last official game to visit the court of Cosea JL Bourg-en-Bresse (Thursday 28, 19:30h, Ekinox, Movistar Deportes 2) in a game of the ninth round of the BKT EuroCup, which marks the end of the first leg of the group stage.

 

The break for national team commitments has filled the injury list with one serious injury, center Nate Reuvers (who underwent surgery on Monday for a fracture in a finger of his left hand), and two other players who will miss this game: forward Xabi López-Arostegui and point guard Stefan Jovic.

 

These absences are added to the injured Ethan Happ, totaling four missing players for this game, where Amida Brimah could play his first minutes as a Valencia Basket player, and where young players Lucas Marí and Jorge Carot complete the roster with four players trained at L’Alqueria del Basket who traveled to France this afternoon.

 

Despite these challenges, Valencia Basket will try to maintain their good performance in this competition on the court of one of the most defensively intense teams, who leads the tournament in steals.

 

There is only one previous meeting in this venue, in the 2021-22 season, which ended with a comeback and a Valencia Basket victory by 77-88.

 

Valencia Basket enters this ninth round in first place in Group B, with a 7-0 record and a pending game against 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys at La Fonteta.
